At the Badminton World Federation (BWF), Richard successfully managed the Olympic Solidarity-funded athletes for the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
His role was to lead the performance programmes for solidarity funded athlete in the four-year cycle to the Olympic Games, this involved developing athlete programmes, facilitating training options, tournament selection and managing relationships with Badminton Africa, National Federations, and National Olympic Committees.
In addition, Richard was responsible for talent identification initiatives and coach development for future generations.
